A native of Oakland, California, Stewart Perrilliat grew up in a community plagued with a number of challenging institutional and socioeconomic environment. Nevertheless, Stewart escaped the lures of the streets and became a Sergeant with the United States Marine Corp. After serving in the Marine Corps, he became the Founder and CEO of Perrilliat Enterprises, a general contracting and engineering firm based in northern California.
Perrilliat’s passion for youth and young adult men is the central focus of his life. While he is a gifted entrepreneur, he is first and foremost a service-driven person who is passionate about seeing young people live their best lives now.
Perrilliat’s method of practical and inspirational teaching serves to motivate others to reach for their highest potential.
Stewart Perrilliat is an ordained clergy member of Allen Temple Baptist Church in Oakland California. He is a graduate of San Francisco Theological Seminary, with a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies and is currently working on a Doctorate in Executive Leadership. Father, servant, motivational speaker, and author, Perrilliat’s gift is his a passion for restoring and renewing communities.
Alvin McLean, Jr., Ph.D. is a professor of clinical psychology and Co-Director of Clinical Training in the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Program at John F. Kennedy University. Previosuly, Dr. McLean was a faculty member of the University of Washington School of Medicine’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine for seven years. He later went into corporate healthcare, where he served as senior vice president for Paradigm Health for 20 years. After retiring from Paradigm Health, he joined the faculty at John F. Kennedy University. Dr. McLean is also co-owner of a medical specialty home health agency.
Dr. McLean is active in his community: he is an active member of the Board of Regents for Samuel Merritt University and also serves on the corporate board of the Bay Area Albert Schweitzer Fellows. Additionally, Dr. McLean has been an active member of Allen Temple Baptist Church for over 20 years where he has served in a number of different roles, including training coordinator of the Anger Management Program, administrator of the Bethsaida Counseling Center, and Director of the Men’s Chorus.
James Branch is founder of Yila Properties, an organization based in Concord focused on transforming neglected neighborhoods into high quality communities. Under his leadership, the portfolio of completed properties and projects represents more than 2 million square feet of office, retail, and residential space valued in excess of $500 million dollars. Branch is currently expanding the company’s development services to include property management and is negotiating projects for other real estate developers.
Mr. Branch focuses on developing workforce housing, which provides working class people such as nurses, firefighters, and policemen with affordable housing options. Branch’s extensive real estate experience includes management of the development of the Sony Metreon and the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences in San Francisco in collaboration with Millennium Partners. Mr. Branch holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, one of the premier engineering schools in the country.
Carey Ross started his 30-year career at Kaiser Permanente as a contract nursing professional and advanced to several leadership roles within the company. Carey has a passion for healthcare and as a Regional Director for Kaiser Permanente, he leads the company’s Outpatient Healthcare Delivery System, Quality Demonstration Implementation, and Accreditory & Regulatory Compliance Operational Planning departments.
Ross partners with the Executive Regional Utilization & Resource Management (UM/RM), Regional Health Plan Quality (HPQ), Health Plan Regulatory Services (HPRS) and National Quality & Care Delivery Excellence departments. He also fosters partnerships with other stakeholders including Kaiser Foundation Health Plan/Hospital Operations, TPMG Executive Leaders, Health Plan Regulatory Services, Compliance, Quality, Public Affairs, Medicare Contract Compliance & Medical Services Contracting to establish a network of credibility, trust, and political acumen in healthcare.
JONNIQUE CARTER LEWIS
Born in Virginia and raised in Oakland California, Jonnique Carter-Lewis was exposed to many diverse cultures at a very young age. Her time at the University of California in Davis studying for a B.S. in Biological Sciences afforded her the opportunity to meet and learn with students from every socio-economic background within in the United States and internationally. These experiences shaped her ability to relate to and work with all people as well as give her unique insight and understanding.
Although she was gifted in the sciences, she became drawn to the “tech world”.
Carter Lewis has enjoyed a 30-year career in IT/telecommunications working for Fortune 500 companies, including AT&T, Pacific Bell, United Technologies, Lam Research, MCI, Verizon, Telesphere, and currently Honeywell, where she has excels as a Project Manager and Lead. Intel, Visa, Oracle, Chevron, Bechtel, and The Gap make up a short list of her extensive customer base for whom she managed the implementation of their voice and data networks worldwide.
When at home, Jonnique cooks and is currently starting her own catering company, The Spice is Right. She also has a daughter, a small zoo and loves music.
