Meet our Board of Directors

A native of Oakland, California, Stewart Perrilliat grew-up in a community that was plagued with a number of challenging institutional socio-economic ills.  Nevertheless, Stewart escaped the lures of the streets and became a Sergeant with the United States Marine Corp, before becoming the Founder and CEO of Perrilliat Enterprises, a general contracting and engineering firm based in Northern California.
Stewart has a passion for youth and young adult men and his call has become the central focus of his life.  Although Stewart is a gifted entrepreneur, he is first and foremost a service-driven person who is passionate about seeing young people live their best life now.  Stewart’s teaching gift empowers people to improve and enhance their lives.  His approach is encouraging, practical, and inspirational, and he is known for motivating others to reach for their highest potential.
Stewart Perrilliat is an ordain clergy member at Allen Temple Baptist church located in Oakland California. He is a graduate from San Francisco Theological Seminary, with a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies and currently working on a doctorate degree in Executive Leadership.  Father, servant, motivational speaker, and author, Stewart is a gifted individual who has a passion to see broken lives restored and renewed. 

Alvin McLean, Jr., Ph.D. is currently a professor of clinical psychology and Co-Director of Clinical Training at John F. Kennedy University’s Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Program. Dr. McLean was on faculty in the University of Washington School of Medicine, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine for seven years and went into corporate healthcare where he was Senior Vice-President for Paradigm Health for 20 years. After retiring from corporate healthcare, he joined the faculty at JFKU. Dr. McLean is currently co-owner of a medical specialty home health agency.  
Dr. McLean is active in his community.  He is a member of the Board of Regents for Samuel Merritt University and he is also on the Corporate Board of the Bay Area Albert Schweitzer Fellows. Additionally, Dr. McLean has been an active member of Allen Temple Baptist Church for over 20 years where he has served in a number of different roles including Training Coordinator of the Anger Management Program, administrator of the Bethsaida Counseling Center, and Director of the Men’s Chorus.

Robert Edward was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and spent most of his early working career in sales. During this time he also pastored a church and travelled internationally speaking at several venues.  In 1996 Robert migrated to San Jose, CA where he was introduced to the security industry. Over the past 20 years Robert Edward worked for some of the Bay Area’s top technology companies. Among them are Cisco Systems, Adobe, Seagate Technologies, Cyprus Semiconductor, Compaq Computers, HP, Rambus, Oracle, Siemens Building Technologies , and Dropbox.

Robert Edward is a leader in the areas of Operations, Physical Security Systems, and Project Management on a global scale. Robert has been highly sought after because of his hybrid skillset. He combines the skills of a GSOC Program Manager with that of a skilled Security Systems Manager.  Robert has recently made the decision to join one of the largest security companies in the world, G4S Secure Solutions.

James Branch’s portfolio of completed properties and projects under wwwelopment represents more than two million square feet of office, retail and residential space valued in excess of five hundred million dollars. Based in Concord, Yila Properties wants to build projects that are a benefit to the community, transforming neglected neighborhoods by constructing high-quality homes. Currently expanding its Development Services profile, the nearly six-year-old company is taking on property management and is negotiating projects it will wwwelop for other real estate wwwelopers.

Right now his focus has been what he call workforce housing. He provides a superior product at a price that is attainable for working class people such as nurses, firefighters and policemen. Mr. Branch’s extensive real estate experience includes management of the wwwelopment efforts for the Sony Metreon project and the Four Season Hotel and Residences in San Francisco, in collaboration with Millennium Partners. Mr. Branch holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, one of the premier engineering schools in the country.

Carey Ross started his 30-year Kaiser Permanente journey as a contracted nursing professional and has held several healthcare delivery leadership roles within and outside of KP.  Carey has a passion for Healthcare and as a Regional Director for KP, he leads KP’s Outpatient Healthcare Delivery System Quality Demonstration Implementation and Accreditory & Regulatory Compliance Operational Planning functions including recruitment, training, hiring, and decision making.
He partners with Executive Regional Utilization & Resource Management (UM/RM), Regional Health Plan Quality (HPQ), Health Plan Regulatory Services (HPRS) and National Quality & Care Delivery Excellence departments.  Carey also fosters partnerships with other stakeholders including, but not limited to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan/Hospital operations, TPMG Executive Leaders, Finance, Marketing, Health Plan Regulatory Services, Compliance, Quality, Public Affairs, Medicare Contract Compliance & Medical Services Contracting. He establishes credibility and trust, while employing political acumen.

During the last three years as a financial consultant, Darryl Dunn handled all financial and accounting aspects for Centerforce, an over $2M non-profit in Oakland. The Centerforce mission is to “support, educate, and advocate for individuals, families, and communities impacted by incarceration”.

Currently, Darryl performs a variety of financial and accounting functions for Roots Community Health Center, an over $4M non-profit in East Oakland. Roots’ aim is to “eliminate wide health disparities and improve health outcomes for uninsured and low-income residents of East Oakland”.
